This course introduces the student with the laws and rules regulating the insurance industry in the state of Maryland. Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: 

• Explain the difference between a law and a regulation
• Explain producer licensing & continuing education requirements
• Explain the importance of certificates of insurance & laws surrounding them
• Explain different unfair trade practices & laws surrounding them
• Explain renewal premium notice requirements
